A framed, layered wood map of your lake, cut to order with your family name and the water color you choose
This custom wood map shows your lake, river, coastline or mountain valley in layered real wood, set in a wood frame. Tell us the place and the wording you want. We draw that exact spot, then laser cut and engrave it. The water is cut away to show the water color you choose. Pick the frame from three choices on the Frame color menu: Walnut, Charcoal or Natural. Five sizes are on the Size menu, up to 24 x 36 inches. Cut to order in our shop in Texas. Free Shipping in the US.
Every lake family has a spot on the map that means more than the rest. The cove where the kids learned to swim. The point where Grandpa always dropped anchor. The dock you can find in the dark. A paper chart cannot hold all that, but a map cut from wood comes close. You can run a finger along the shoreline and stop right where your place is.
This map fits the day the cabin sale finally closes, the year a parent retires to the water, or the moment a family place is sold and someone wants to keep the shape of it. We can add a small marker at your spot, and your title block can carry a line such as ‘The Hendersons, Est. 2015’.
It also works for a favorite river bend, a stretch of coast, or the mountain valley where you were married. If you can point to it on a map, send it our way.
Also Perfect For
- Lake house and cabin housewarmings
- Father’s Day and retirement gifts
- Anniversary gifts for couples who met or married by the water
- Realtor closing gifts for waterfront homes
- A keepsake of a family place that has been sold
Where It Looks Best
Hang it over the mantel, in the entry of the lake house, or along a hallway where guests can look for their own favorite cove. The larger sizes hold their own above a sofa.
