A big real wood world map for the wall where your family plans the next trip.
This wood world map turns an empty wall into the place where trips get planned and remembered. Each continent is laser cut from real wood and left in a natural wood finish, so the grain does the talking. It is a large piece, made for the wall above a bed, a sofa or a long hallway. The size is listed on the Size menu. Every map is cut to order in our shop in Texas and ships with Free Shipping in the US.
Some walls ask for one big piece instead of a dozen small frames. A world map does that job well. It is quiet from across the room, and up close it starts conversations: where you met, where your parents came from, where the kids want to go first.
People buy this map for a first home, for a husband who keeps a list of countries, and for the fifth anniversary, the one traditionally marked with wood. It suits a bedroom, a home office, or the wall behind the sofa where everyone ends up anyway.
The wood is left natural, so no two maps have quite the same grain. Hang it once and it becomes the wall people drift toward when the talk turns to where to go next.
Also Perfect For
- Fifth (wood) anniversary gifts
- Housewarming and first-home gifts
- A husband or wife who loves to travel
- Retirement gifts for someone with trips ahead
- Home office, study and classroom walls
Where It Looks Best
Above a bed or sofa, or along a wide hallway or office wall with open space around it. A plain, light wall lets the wood grain stand out.
